The Jorvik Viking Centre first opened in 1984 and has undergone many updated versions of the museum in the past years, but always kept the viking history alive.
When entering the museum you walk along the incredible glass floor, where underneath you can see some of the amazing Viking finds. You can also see how the Viking remains were discovered.
Once you have finished exploring the glass floor, your next point of call is the exciting ride back in time! There is so much to see on the ride, and each Viking you see has their own story to tell you. The impressive real-life Vikings create and bring you into the real Viking world, with even the smells of the past you won’t ever forget.
After the ride has finished, there is another large exhibition where you can see Viking Skeletons, their cookings and games and you can even make your very own Viking coin.
I loved visiting here, and It was such a good experience and great day out for all the family.
