Helmsley Wall Gardens is over 250 years old, and I took a trip here to visit their wedding fair and spoke to Mike, the manager who dedicates his hard work along with his staff to make this garden look amazing.
With over five acres here to explore, I also caught up with Helmsley Town Crier David Hinde. He told me everything about the history of the job role and what he does. He also told me about his film role in the new Dads Army film.
When walking through the gardens, you can see doors on each side of the garden. I was told by Mike, the manager, these used to bee used for entry into the castle and the house. Produce was grown by the workers in the garden to supply to the castle and house.
