Whitby Abbey is famous for not just the ruins and history of the grounds, but also for where Bram Stoker was inspired to write Dracula and looking over the town of Whitby.
You can enjoy a full day here in Whitby and you can’t leave without trying their famous fish and chips.
If you enjoy steam trains, there is The North Yorkshire Moors Railway which takes you to Whitby train stations.
Not far away from the busy town centre, there are lovely coastal walks that take you into the countryside if you enjoy a quieter experience.
